I chose this review to make it because it explains my book very well. It gives important points from my book and I think reader can understand my book from looking at this post.

Here's Ben's voki from his point of view.

One month ago I read "Confessions of a Teen Nanny". This book is about Adrienne,a teenage girl's life. Her job, school, friends, her society. She is nanny and works in the richest family's house in New York. She is in charge of eight years old genius girl but everything changed and she started to spend time with genius girl's sister, Cameron, she is sixteen years old and in the same school with Adrienne's, best friend. Cameron changed Adrienne's life a lot. This book is about friendship but "The Great Wide Sea" is about adventure we understand that on page fifteen because Dad said: "I'll be captain, you'll be crew and we'll all go sailing. For a whole year." The other difference between those books are characters. "The Great Wide Sea" includes family life. They will go to sailing for a whole year together, dad and his sons, on page the same page we can understand this and in "Confessions of a Teen Nanny" characters are friends because the book is about friendship.Also there are similarities between those books. One of them is point of view, both novel has the first person narrator point of view.On page 16 Ben said, first person narrator, "Us,"I said."You haven't talked to us." It shows us the point of view and the other similarity between those books : the main character because both of them have teenager main character.In "The Great Wide Sea" main character is Ben and he is sixteen years old and in "Confessions of a Teen Nanny" main character is Adrienne and she is sixteen years old so both books are about teenager's life.

My favorite scene so far in my book is: when Dad decided to buy a sail and talked about that with his sons. I like this scene because it will start all of the adventure. It will change their lif a lot. About two months after Mom died, when the boys got home from school one afternoon to see a "for sale" sign in the yard. At the dinner time they started to talk about this but first Dad wanted to give their presents. He pulled three books out of his briefcase, set them beside plate and then handed Ben the one on top. Ben likes cars and his job will be learn about engines. Dylan likes stars so he took the navigation book and the last book for Garry, he took the sailing for children book then Dad started to talk he said: I'll be captain and you'll be crew, we'll all go sailing for a whole year.(page 15)Ben thinks that they can't afford that but Dad decided to sell the house. That's what he's been getting to, he said: "We can if we sell the house."(page 15)But there is a big problem Dad thought all of the steps like school,job but he forgot his sons thoughts because Ben doesn't want to be in a boat for a whole year.

I chose this song because it is about sailing and I liked the video's background because it feels like you are in the sea. Singer sings about happiness and unhappiness events. "The Great Wide Sea" includes good events but also bad events like mom's death. In my book sailing shows the freedom and in that song singer thinks sailing is kind of freedom. Waves spark his memories and in the book our major character Ben usually  minds his memories with Mom. In that song singer thinks his childhood and memories so both of them remember their memories through the sea.

Summary About What Has Happened In My Book So Far

Ben, Dylan and Gerry are brothers. They live with their father because their mother died in a car accident.While Dad and Ben were watching TV, Dylan was upstairs and Gerry had already fallen asleep. Mom had left in the car to get ice cream for her sons then the phone rang. They learned that two blocks away, a guy had run a red light and he had killed Mom. After that event their life had changed a lot. Everyone wanted to help. Dad always cries after Mom's death in the dark but the brothers don't want to catch him crying. At the funeral for the first time Ben started to take his little brothers responsibilities because they are child and they need Ben. About two months after Mom died,three brothers got home from school one afternoon to see a for sale sign in the yard. At the dinner time Dad explained his plan, he şs going to buy a sailboat. He will be captain and his sons will be crew, and they will all go sailing for a whole year but they need money to buy a sailboat so Dad decided to sell the house. Those will be the start of their new adventures.
